Quality Systems
In July 2011, Hockway received its Certification to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) standard. The registration covered Hockway’s Design and Supply of Cathodic Protection Systems and the manufacture of its associated equipment.
The ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard is a voluntary international standard that identifies the elements an organization needs to effectively manage its impact on the environment. Its objective is to integrate the EMS with overall business management processes so that environmental considerations become a standard part of all business decisions.
Hockway now has plans to extend its Certification to it’s Middle East facility. Once implemented, ISO 14001:2004 will encourage common solutions, continual improvement and company-wide consistency. The result is a more effective and efficient EMS ensuring that Hockway operates the same way no matter where in the world it does business.
Hockway operates a Quality Management System that is certified in accordance with ISO9001:2008.
Quality Systems for Hazardous Area Equipment
Hockway also holds ATEX certification for Transformer Rectifiers and other cathodic protection equipment for use in Hazardous areas.
This in house designed and manufactured equipment allows Hockway to optimise the design of cathodic protection systems by locating cathodic protection equipment in Hazardous areas making cathodic protection systems cheaper, safer and easier to operate.

This manual applies to all elements of the company's ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
