Hockway has enjoyed significant growth over the last couple of years as a highly successful engineer and manufacturer of asset integrity systems for the oil and gas industry. We are now poised to expand even further and treble our turnover in the next three years.
Our product diversification and further expansion in the Middle East and other key oil and gas regions will create outstanding opportunities and rewards for candidates with the skills, experience and talent.
We need a consummate professional to identify and cultivate key customers and prospects with the ultimate aim of securing profitable business. You will work closely with the in-house proposals group driving sales and marketing to maximise the company’s ‘Proposal to Sales’ ratio.
Essential qualities:
• To have a proven record of prospect generation and management
• Proven track record of operating at a strategic level within a group company structure and the ability to work as part of the wider Senior Management Team
• Appreciation of working in international markets with differing cultures
Desirable qualities:
• EPC contractor or oil and gas operator knowledge or experience; knowledge of the EPC process and procurement methods
• The ability to maintain and develop relationships with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors and asset integrity consultants
• A minimum of 5 years experience selling mechanical / electrical packages into the EPC contractors or a commercial or project engineering background with an EPC contractor.
• Proven commercial / contract structuring experience with a technical background
• Technical credibility, with a focus on commercial aspects and an understanding of the difference between sales and business development
• Previous experience of the Middle East or having worked within an organisation which has a Middle East operation
• An appreciation of the commercial aspects of project management including bank guarantees, letters of credit and foreign exchange management.
